The other night I had the opportunity to speak with Ben Shapiro when he filled in as host for the Rusty Humphries Show. After speaking with him, I sat down and wrote this ...
Hi Ben,
I
really enjoyed venting for a few minutes with you on the Rusty
Humphries Show last evening. I wish I had longer, but as Talk Show
Hosts go at least you give callers a moment to articulate their point
and do not speak over them (although I would be less than honest if I
didn’t say that some callers can’t articulate a point and therefore it
is out of mercy for the listening audience that the host gets them
going).
In
any case, I mentioned last night that Kanye West has a beef with “the
one” but due to FCC regulations I couldn’t say it on the radio so until
fedzilla gets a strangle hold on the internet (G-d help us all) I am
free to share the link with you via email… here it is …

Obama: Danny Glover's a *&^%$
Well, that's basically what he said. And if he'd said just that, I guess I'd agree. But he didn't.
He told us how damnably popular he is, yet again.
President
Barack Obama deflected criticism Monday that he has not been attentive
enough to the African-American community, telling American Urban Radio
Networks that he was unconcerned to see that kind of message coming
from former supporters such as actor Danny Glover.
"If
you want me to line up all the black actors, for example, who support
me and put them on one side of the room and a couple who are grumbling
on the other, I'm happy to have that," Obama said, adding that polls
show African-Americans express "overwhelming support for what we've
tried to do."
In
an interview with reporter April Ryan, Obama argued that the fact of
his sitting with Ryan for an interview with the Oval Office was
significant on its own.
"Is
there grumbling?" he asked rhetorically. "Of course, there's grumbling,
because we just went through the worst economic crisis since the Great
Depression."
As Kanye West said,
Obama hates black people. Or at least his grumbling black critics; I
think we can establish a general rule that Obama doesn't like anyone
who doesn't polish his a** to a high sheen.
A bit more:
Obama
repeatedly used the pronoun "we" in discussing America's black
community, but insisted that he shouldn't be expected to target
policies exclusively to African-Americans.
"The
only thing I cannot do is, by law I can't pass laws that say I'm just
helping black folks," Obama said. "I'm the president of the entire
United States. What I can do is make sure that I am passing laws that
help all people, particularly those who are most vulnerable and most in
need. That, in turn, is going to help lift up the African-American
community."
This
is a bit telling. Much of what he's doing is a wealth-transfer from one
demographic (older, whiter) to another (younger, blacker). One needn't
need to be a racist to object to such take-from-me-to-give-to-thee
scheming.
As he says, he can't pass laws that "say" he's doing this, even if he's kind of doing it.
This
guy has just never gotten serious criticism in his life. He's been
overindulged and promoted far beyond his abilities his whole damn life.
Until now, when he's promoted to a position he's plainly unqualified
for, and he's shocked at this new human invention called "criticism."
Psychologically,
this guy is the high school Alpha Jock who was a big fish in a little pond for the whole of his life... until he fails to make the team
in college, and his status as a superstar is suddenly taken away from
him.
And he reacts with anger, of course, swirled with a bit of existential panic -- What is he if not that?
So
that's what we have in this "first-class temperament" guy. A coddled,
petulant boy-man who stewing in resentment that the rest of his life
wasn't just as easy as grades K-12.
Thanks to AHFF Geoff.
Now
this is the part that had I had the time to speak with you at length I
would have brought up. I am a Nurse Practitioner in Utah. I have been
in practice nearly 5 years and spent the 7 years prior to that as a
trauma and transplant nurse in one of only 2 Level One ACS [American
College of Surgeons] Trauma Hospitals in the State. Much to my
chagrin, President Obama likes the company I work for and it has gotten
praise (frankly, I wish he’d just ignore health care altogether and let
the private sector do what it does best); granted we have a great
system but the last thing I want is for the federal government coming
in and tweaking a great system and wrecking havoc … that being said if
you are interested in integrated healthcare look up www.intermountainhealthcare.org
I
have been reeling since this supposed health care reform bill got the
votes for cloture the other night. I have spent many months writing
members of the Congress and the Senate about this of course to no
avail. I was not surprised that the self-described socialist from VT
caved or even Nelson from Nebraska. I was heartbroken that Joe
Lieberman crushed his shoe in the face of the American people in favor
of those who politically shunned and crucified him for his sensible
stand on Israel and the War on Terror. These same people he appeased
in this are the architects of the annihilation of the Jewish nation of
Israel in favor of a Palestinian state that re-classifies Jews as
second class citizens and will eventually begin the next holocaust
(historically we know that Hitler got direction and advice on his
‘final solution’ from the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem during WW2, so why
people are shocked that the Islamo-fascists are still at it is beyond
me; but I digress.
Below
is my letter to Senator Lieberman, obviously I am not his constituent
and so he owes me nothing but it makes me feel a little better that I
told him unequivocally that his actions would come back to haunt him.
I also have outlined what should be the GOP HCR platform; the devil is
in the details so keeping it simple is the key not only to being the
best thing for the American people and our economy but also in the name
of true transparency.
******
With all due respect, Senator Lieberman,
I
cannot believe what you have done, it is shameful. Thanks to Senate
Democrats and a few "Independents" like yourself who caved under
pressure and pushed this dead skunk disguised as health care reform in
spite of the fact that <1 American in 3 support the actions of this
congress.
Most
Americans realize, by now, that this plan for health care reform has
NOTHING to do with health care, and EVERYTHING to do with getting a
stranglehold of control over every aspect of the American people
(including life and death).
We,
the people, understand that this is how socialists work. At first it
is insidious and collectively the people think, 'well that will benefit
a great number of people; it's not so bad’ and then the power grab gets
more and more brazen ... It's the boiling frog scenario -- often it is
too late to stop it when you realize just how dangerous it has become.
In the end, though you should know that the one thing that socialists
fear the most is an educated and articulate society.
This
is why deals must be brokered “behind closed doors” and critical votes
are held in the middle of the night. Then there are the payoffs and
promises; anything said to make the supposed "independents" cave and
bring this plan to pass the vote for cloture should be considered a
“pie crust promise” easily made and easily broken.
I
promise Obama, Reid and Pelosi will sell you out in the end. Anyone
who thinks that this unholy trifecta will be there to pick up the
pieces of shattered political careers should think again.
They
will promise you the world, whatever Federal entitlement your state
desires, whatever appointment you want but in the end they will treat
you like a cheap prom date that crawls into the darkened backseat with
them – an easy roll. They won’t respect you for giving in and once
they pass this albatross they won’t even recognize you exist -- it's
the modus operandi of narcissists and manipulators.
One
thing you can count on is that your constituents and even those of us
who aren't in your district, know when it is critical that you can’t be
counted on – I don’t know how much louder we have to say it – Recent
CNN polling shows 61% of Americans are against this bill and the
numbers keep going up – we don’t want what this administration is
peddling -- and yet the elitists are going to jam it through.
“You
can't just make something a right because you think it ought to be.
This whole thing makes me sick. The republic is falling and is poised
to collapse into oblivion because people believe they have the right to
enslave other men. Because they think they ought to have a right to
lifeworks and minds of other men.” – Jaquelyn Peterson, USMMA ‘08
If
this WAS about health care (at all) then there would be considerations
such as the following pen stroke of brilliance; but we all know that
this is about power not health care which is PRECISELY why there is a
fundamental failure within the political class to understand some very
basic truths and realities (imagine that) Just in case you decide to
side with America on health care reform and give the people a plan that
will achieve health care reform without destroying 20% of the GDP and
stripping Americans of their rights and liberties (which is exactly why
the political elites hate me and my ideas).
Medicine
is, has been, and will be, a commodity. It is produced by people, and
cannot be a "non-commodity". Service or goods produced by people cannot
be a "right".
True
and viable health care reform can be achieved be quickly and relatively
inexpensively by implementing the following steps, with special thanks
to my partner in debate and my professional colleague Wayne Crawford,
MPAS, PA-C for all the hours of debate on the issue, research and
emails.
1. Prohibit insurance from paying greater than 80% of actual cost:
patients need to have some skin in the game and will dramatically
control costs when they are so motivated (actual experience). If the
doctor discounts for the patient, the insurance company participates in
the discount. Enforce with insurance fraud statutes.
2. Revive charity hospitals:
this will give doctors a place to donate care, students to train, and
provide for the needy without huge tax based entitlement programs.
3. Tort reform: prohibit any patient who has received discounted or free care from suing, and implement a loser pays system.
4. Remove the barriers to increased use of Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs):
Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners provide 80% of the care,
at the same quality, and for far less money than doctors.
5. Remove the interstate commerce barrier as it applies to health insurance: Doing
so would increase competition between insurance providers allowing
health care consumers to drive through the free market principle of
supply and demand. Implementing this will create a supply of affordable
health care plans without destroying the free market based economy
which is the natural result of controls through government intervention.
6. Allow individuals to create their own insurance pools:
Allow these pools take advantage of the same tax benefits that
businesses get for providing health benefits to employees; this creates
truly portable insurance that is tied to the individual rather than
their employment.
Implementing these 6 steps would yield the following results:
• Health Care costs drop like a rock
• Insurance premiums (including malpractice) become affordable
• Access to care increases.
• Medicare/Medicaid fades away
• Taxes go down
• Government budgets become reasonable
So
thank you. Thank you for helping to propel the American people along
this economic free fall that this administration has us on.
As
this monstrosity rolls forth and they again attempt to wine and dine
you into a "compromised bill" between the House and Senate; I implore
you to prepare yourself for war. This is going to get ugly. A line
has been drawn in the sand between the will of the people of this great
country and the elitists pushing manure as "conventional wisdom"
I
would like to know exactly where our elected officials stand. Just
once I wish the group of you would have the guts, the moral clarity and
the intellectual honesty to stand up and admit what it is you are
trying to accomplish.
Still, a scientist at heart I really don't care what any of you say anymore -- this is all about outcomes.
The
masses made their bed by electing this circus of fools and once the
honeymoon is over they will realize that nothing is free and the
promises were just words and there is nothing sincere coming out of the
cesspool of Washington DC. Rest assured though, that the people will
grow tired of being taken advantage of we are tired of being resented
rather than respected.
Elitist
politicians pull stunts like closed door deals, sneaking in policy
changes requiring a "super majority" rather than following the rule of
law and hold votes in the middle of the night, on bills that haven't
even been read and will only benefit you and your cronies burdening
this and future generations with punishing individual taxes and destroy
the free market with a swipe of your pen and then wonder why we don't
trust the government and why your approval rating is somewhere south of
20% -- it's mind boggling.
Every
American goes to bed wondering ... Will they protect my right to choose
my own health care, keep taxes low, Will they stand up for our
military, will they protect our national sovereignty or sell us out to
the UN? Will they stand, even if alone, to protect the Constitution and
the Citizens of this country from all enemies foreign and domestic?
We
just wish they would let us know unequivocally. Because the actions
taken last and in Copenhagen scare us and we need to prepare for the
coming attacks on the Republic from enemies within and without.

P.S.
I have loved your strength and commitment to the American-Israel
Alliance; but please don't fool yourself into believing that this
administration stands with you. President Obama and Secretary of
State Clinton have already made it abundantly clear on a number of
occasions that they hold Israel in contempt and barely tolerate her
right to exist. Your best friends are going to be evangelical
Christians who support the right of the Jewish State not only to
survive but to thrive in peace and prosperity; it's just too bad you
sided with those who are orchestrating the annihilation of this great
Republic and next on their agenda is Israel and ultimately the Jewish
nation; they won’t do it as overtly as Hitler; no they are too clever
for that but they will support and defend her enemies and prop up the
thugs and dictators in the UN. If you believe all their well turned
phrases then the only state you represent is the state of DELUSION.
